What I design

Different forms.
One narrative instinct.

I shape what an audience discovers, feels, and carries away—whether they are watching a mystery, making a choice, or finding their way through unfamiliar information.

01 / STORY

Serialized narrative

Hooks, evolving relationships, and reveals that make each installment matter.

02 / CHOICE

Interactive narrative

Choices and remembered states that reveal character and give actions meaning.

03 / JOURNEY

Narrative UX

Metaphor, pacing, and information structure that help people move at their own pace.

04 / IMAGE

Visual storytelling

Composition, movement, repetition, and continuity that carry meaning beyond dialogue.

05 / REACH

Narrative content strategy

An evolving practice of adapting original stories for different platforms and audiences.

Selected work

The question becomes
the experience.

Five projects. Five different narrative challenges. Explore the thinking, then experience the work.

When being needed
becomes being kept.

What happens when the relationship you have nurtured is the one you need to leave?

Rootbound begins with a contradiction: a woman tends a sentient forest that saved her, while discovering the cost of remaining in its care. The project explores love, dependence, and consequential choice through Vaughna and Lyvan.

Explore the approach behind the work

My narrative philosophy

A story is also an experience: what you know, when you learn it, what you feel—and what the experience gives you room to discover.

Sometimes that means curiosity and anticipation. Sometimes it means fewer choices, less motion, and space to reflect.

How I work

It starts with
something I can't
stop exploring.

An idea. A quote. A contradiction. A place.

I explore unique ways to approach that spark, settle on the theme, and build the story and experience around it.

  1. 01

    Find the question

An idea, quote, contradiction, or place catches my attention. I brainstorm unexpected ways to explore it and settle on the theme.

  2. 02

    Design the story

I build the premise, characters, relationships, world rules, conflict, and stakes that give the theme a concrete form.

  3. 03

    Design the experience

I decide what people know, when they discover it, and how pacing, reveals, or choices shape what they feel.

  4. 04

    Choose the form

The intended experience guides the medium: microdrama, webcomic, interactive fiction, or another digital format.

  5. 05

    Build the prototype

Writing, storyboards, visual systems, code, editing, and AI-assisted production turn the concept into a working experience.

  6. 06

    Reach, learn & iterate

I am developing platform adaptations and an audience-learning practice to guide future versions of the work.

Cross-platform thinking

One story.
Many ways to enter.

Different formats invite different kinds of attention. This is the adaptation framework I am developing for She-Sci, beginning with the same underlying narrative question.

Watch / Short video

Make the tension visible.

A scene-led hook for Shorts, Reels, or TikTok: one consequential moment that invites someone into the story.

Explore / Carousel & social

Open up the question.

A sequence of images or a discussion prompt that makes the theme approachable without giving away the payoff.

Understand / Design breakdown

Show the decisions.

A professional process post explaining the narrative problem, constraints, and creative choices behind the experience.

My creative studio / lab

She-Sci.
Original worlds,
working prototypes.

She-Sci is where I develop and prototype original science-fiction narratives, with consequential female characters and perspectives that deserve space in speculative storytelling.

The Protoverse is the evolving collection of those experiments: stories moving from concept into experiences people can watch, read, and respond to.

The videos are narrative prototypes. They bring the stories to life while I work toward increasingly polished production.

Case Study in Progress

Building She-Sci

From original narrative IP to an audience-facing creative brand.

I am developing a case study of the choices behind the brand: how stories are presented, adapted, published, and improved through audience response.

  • Brand positioning and narrative content pillars
  • Platform-specific creative adaptations
  • Hook, thumbnail, and format experiments
  • Lessons that inform the next iteration

As case studies develop, each will trace the question, design challenge, approach, experience, outcome, and reflection.

About Louisa

Story thinking.
Design intention.
Technical curiosity.

I'm Louisa Jones, a Narrative Content Designer creating story-driven experiences across serialized fiction, interactive media, visual storytelling, narrative UX, and social content.

My work connects writing with systems: how choices accumulate, how a visual world stays coherent, and how an interface can make unfamiliar information feel approachable. My background in information technology and software development supports that intersection of story and implementation.

She-Sci is my creative lab for original science-fiction IP. Across my work, I care about consequential female characters, underrepresented perspectives, and experiences that respect their audience's pace.
